STYX
Tommy Shaw, James “JY” Young, Lawrence Gowan, Todd Sucherman and Ricky Phillips (along with the occasional surprise appearance by original bassist Chuck Panozzo), have performed more live since ’99 than all of the previous years of its career combined. Two Super-Bowl appearances, Pollstar Box Office chart-topping tours with Def Leppard, Journey, Boston, REO Speedwagon, Bad Company (to name only a few), two more studio albums and no end in sight, STYX continues to conquer the planet, one venue at a time.
Spawned from a suburban Chicago basement in the early ‘70s, Styx would eventually transform into the virtual arena rock prototype by the late ’70s and early ’80s, due to a fondness for big rockers and soaring power ballads.
Bachman and Turner After many years of fan demand, Randy Bachman and Fred Turner-two giants of rock n’ roll-are finally reuniting for the first time in more than 20 years. The musicians at the heart of legendary band Bachman-Turner Overdrive are ready to record and tour again as a new, full-throttle rock machine: Bachman & Turner. ”I’m thrilled to be working on new music with Fred, and I feel a sense of excitement and anticipation,” says Randy Bachman. “I feel like I’m coming full circle, with a completeness that I never ever thought I’d feel again.”
Ross and Rotten – Allen Ross is one of the most prolific songwriters in the biker community. His tunes, performed with long-time partner Hank Rotten Jr., have become staples at biker events and in juke boxes in nearly every biker bar in the country. Ross & Rotten will be performing nightly at the Sturgis Road Show. Ross & Rotten have been performing their edgy, and sometimes downright blue humor for the crowds at the Legendary Buffalo Chip in Sturgis for more than a decade. Their three CDs: “Rotten Roll”; “Bikers Eat Their Young”; and “Sick” are favorites among the biker crowds everywhere. It’s not unusual to see crowds singing along to Ross anthems like “Harley In The Rain,” and “Dog Philosophy.” Ross & Rotten have become a part of the Chip family and no party with the Chip’s name on it would be complete without them – A great addition to the Sturgis Road Show
